Why Organic?
Being an organic company is the only option for us. We endorse the fact that none of our products contain pesticides, preservatives, hormones or antibiotics. Most pesticides are known as lipophilic, which means they are attracted to fat. Our promise to be 100% organic ensures that our dressings contain heart-healthy fats and pesticide-free ingredients. Studies have shown that organic foods have greater health-building and disease-preventing potential. By being organic we support sustainable farming and take an ecological responsibility towards the planet. Our mantra includes Hippocrates' oath "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food". We are quite certain this didn't include Insecticides, Rodenticides, Fungicides as well as an extensive list of other health-complicating chemicals.
Why Raw?
Mark Twain wrote "To eat is human, to digest, divine". When we cook our food (including salad dressings), we destroy the enzymes necessary for digestion. Nature created these perfect foods with unique medicinal properties to ensure we become and remain fully nourished. Nothing in our product is heated, mistreated or depleted.

Why Vegan?
We have a lot of compassion for animals and feel that a plant-based diet lowers the risk of many diseases including heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes and obesity. We are also strong advocates of protecting the Earth. The production of factory farming has a devastating impact on the web of connections that sustain our ecosystem. The damaging effects are destroying everything we are surrounded by. Organic, vegetable farming is a giant step towards repairing the damage we have already placed on our planet. |
